Bastrop Physical Therapy & Fitness Center
Our goal is to provide quality services, assist you in regaining your independence and promote wellness. We strive to provide the best, most comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation services to Bastrop County and the surrounding communities as well as for inpatients at Smithville Regional Hospital.
We are a team of professionals dedicated to your wellness. Our team of licensed therapists will provide you with the personalized attention and quality care you deserve in a comfortable environment.
Your physical therapist works with you to increase range of motion, strength, and endurance, restore functional movement, relieve pain, and promote healing and recovery following an acute or chronic condition.
This is the use of water and specifically-designed activity by a licensed therapist to aid in the restoration, extension, and quality of function for persons with acute or chronic disabilities, syndromes or diseases.
Your occupational therapist provides rehabilitation with an emphasis on upper extremity function, improving independence with daily functional activities (dressing, bathing, grooming, etc.), and work activities. The OT also uses therapeutic exercises and activities, modalities, and can fabricate upper extremity splints.
Your respiratory therapist will treat breathing disorders which include chronic lung problems (asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema) to maintain and recover lung function after illness or surgery.

Our fitness center offers memberships to the general public (age 18 years & over), as well as current and former rehab patients. It is designed to help you achieve your personal health and fitness goals and allow rehab patients to perform their individualized exercise program independently while in a comfortable, familiar environment.
