Services Offered:

Physical Therapy
Your physical therapist works with you to increase range of motion, strength, and endurance, restore functional movement, relieve pain, and promote healing and recovery following an acute or chronic condition.

Aquatic Therapy
This is the use of water and specifically-designed activity by a licensed therapist to aid in the restoration, extension, and quality of function for persons with acute or chronic disabilities, syndromes or diseases.

Occupational Therapy
Your occupational therapist provides rehabilitation with an emphasis on upper extremity function, improving independence with daily functional activities (dressing, bathing, grooming, etc.), and work activities. The OT also uses therapeutic exercises and activities, modalities, and can fabricate upper extremity splints.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Your respiratory therapist will treat breathing disorders which include chronic lung problems (asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema) to maintain and recover lung function after illness or surgery.

Public Fitness Gym
Our fitness center offers memberships to the general public (age 18 years & over), as well as current and former rehab patients. It is designed to help you achieve your personal health and fitness goals and allow rehab patients to perform their individualized exercise program independently while in a comfortable, familiar environment. Our fitness center has cardiovascular and strength-training equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, free weights, and a universal gym.

Types of Patients Served:

Non-surgical and post operative treatments for inpatients or outpatients with fractures, joint replacements and other bone/joint injuries.

Pain Syndromes:
Patients with chronic neck, back, and extremity pain due to arthritic changes, traumatic injury, repetitive motion injuries or conditions such as fibromyalgia.

Neurological Disorders:
Individualized treatment for patients recovering from stroke, spinal injury, head injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's disease, and other conditions.
Work/Sport Related Injuries:
Adult and adolescent.

Balance Dysfunctions:
Vestibular rehab for central and peripheral vestibular dysfunctions. Physical Therapy performs a comprehensive evaluation and develops a program to help reduce or eliminate the patient's symptoms and/or assist the patient with effective strategies to reduce falls and potential fall risk.

Heart Problems:
Phase III cardiac rehabilitation for patients who may have had heart surgery or have heart disease. Rehab goals are to enhance independence with self-care, activities of daily living, as well as functional strength and endurance.

Lung / Respiratory Problems:
A licensed respiratory therapist will work directly with patients who have breathing disorders such as chronic lung problems (asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema) to maintain and recover lung function after illness or surgery.

How do I make an initial appointment?
You have the right to choose your outpatient therapy provider. Consult your physician and request a referral for physical therapy, occupational therapy or pulmonary rehabilitation. You may also call our office at (512) 304-0331. We can assist you in obtaining a physician referral and verify insurance coverage.

Do I have to have a physician referral?
Yes. We also accept referrals from physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and chiropractors.

What should I wear to therapy?
Loose, comfortable clothing.

How long are the appointments?
The initial evaluation usually lasts approximately 60 minutes. Follow up visits vary from 40 to 90 minutes, depending on your individualized treatment plan.

What does this service cost me?
The cost varies dependent on your insurance co-pay/plan. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, worker's compensation, private insurance and cash payment.
